Ben Prevo

  Ben Prevo is probably one of the greatest guitarists you have never heard of. He has performed with such legends as Jaco Pastorius,Brian Downey,Noel Redding,Levon Helm and Pee Wee Ellis and held the coveted second guitar seat in Jorma Kaukonen's band. Whether playing a sweet soulful blues,a raucous rockabilly rhythm or a Hendrix inspired ride Ben does it all, tastefully and with superb phrasing and feel. A veritable "tone monster" he can do anything from a Tele twang to a sizzling screaming solo. Some nights you may even witness him pulling out a standard with sweet elegance. A guitarist's guitarist! Ben is a vocalist  and a prolific songwriter  as well as a lap steel  guitar player. He also builds and designs his own vintage style amps.He has been described as "one of the most talented guitar players" in The Irish times.Ben has released two albums--1991's "New,Blue and True" and 1999's "It's About Time" - both feature Ben's original compositions.
